Sürmene kıyılarında (Trabzon, Karadeniz) mezgit (Merlangius merlangus Linnaeus, 1758) avcılığında kullanılan derin su serpme ağının av verimi

Bu çalışmada,
Trabzon ili Sürmene kıyılarında yaz ve sonbahar mevsiminde küçük balıkçılar
tarafından mezgit (
Merlangius merlangus)
avcılığında yaygın olarak kullanılan derin su serpme ağının (çarmıklı serpme)
kullanım yoğunluğunu ve av verimini incelemek amaçlanmıştır, dört farklı
balıkçı barınağında bu avcılık ile uğraşan 26 balıkçı teknesi ile 2016 ve 2017
sezonunda anketler yapılmıştır. Buna ek olarak, derin su serpme ağının yaygın
olarak kullanıldığı bu bölgede 12 ay boyunca aylık örneklemeler
gerçekleştirilerek bu ağın bölgedeki av verimi de belirlenmiştir. Balıkçıların
beyanlararına göre, 2016 ve 2017 yıllarında 50 günün üzerinde av yaptıkları,
her denize çıktıklarında bu av için 6 litrenin üzerinde yakıt tükettikleri ve
operasyon başına ortalama 1,2±0,1 kg/operasyon balık yakaladıkları
belirlenmiştir. Denemelerde ise av verimi balıkçıların belirttiği av sezonunda
1,9±0,2 kg/operasyon hesaplanmıştır. Tüm yıl için bu değer 1,1±0,1 kg/operasyon
olarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda, bu av aracının tüm Karadeniz
sahilinde kullanım durumunun araştırılması gerekliliği ortaya çıkmıştır.

The catching efficiency of deep cast net used for catching whiting (Merlangius merlangus Linnaeus, 1758) in Sürmene coast, Trabzon (Black Sea)

In this study, it was
aimed to investigate the usage intensity and catching efficiency of deep water
cast net for catching whiting (
Merlangius merlangus) which is commonly
used by small scale fishermen in summer and autumn seasons on the coast of
Sürmene town of Trabzon city, questionnaires were performed with 26 fishermen
who used this gear in 2016 and 2017 fishing season of this gear. In addition,
monthly sampling was carried out to determine the catching efficiency of this
gear for 12 months in this region where deep water cast net is widely used.
According to the statements made by the fishermen in the surveys, it was
determined that fishermen are overboard in more than 50 days, consume more than
6 liters of fuel per fishing operation when they go to the sea and catch at
least 1.2±0.1 kg fish per operation. In the experiment, 1.9±0.2 kg was
calculated during the fishing season specified by fishermen. As a result of the
study, it is clear that this fishing methods need to be investigated for the
whole Black Sea coast.
