Öz
Bu çalışmada, 2003 yılı Ocak ayında, İzmir Körfezi Urla kıyılarından, 0.5-1m derinlikte gerçekleştirilen tül ığrıp çekimi sonucunda toplanmış 66 adet Sardalya (Sardina pilchardus Walbaum, 1792) larvası incelenmiştir. Yakalanan larvaların boyları 23.25 ile 32.72 mm ve ağırlıkları ise 0.0041 ile 0.09 g arasında değişim göstermiştir. Örneklenen larvaların otolitlerindeki günlük halka sayısının 35 ile 60 arasında olduğu saptanmıştır. Otolit boyları 158.11 - 423.35 µm ve yarıçapları 87.65 - 244.55 µm arasında ölçülmüş ve otolit boyu ile günlük halka sayısı arasında iyi bir ilişki (r= 0.89) saptanmıştır
