Abstract

Bu çalışma, İzmir Körfezi’nde dağılım gösteren Syngnathidae familyasına ait denizatı türlerini ve bu türlerin biyometrik özelliklerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Şubat 2000 tarihinde bölgede avlanan balıkçılardan 29 adet Hippocampus hippocampus, ve 200 adet Hippocampus guttulatus örneği temin edilmiştir. Elde edilen örneklerin metrik ve meristik özellikleri ve boy-ağırlık ilişkileri ile boy ve ağırlık frekans değerleri verilmiştir
