Fethiye yöresinde (Akdeniz) pelajik Kılıç balığı paraketalarının av verimini arttırmak için kullanılan ışık çubukları üzerine denemeler

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, kılıç balıklarının pelajik paraketalar ile avcılığında ışık çubuklarının av verimi üzerine etkisi araştırılmıştır. 20 Eylül 2012 – 31 Aralık 2012 tarihleri arasında Fethiye bölgesinde toplamda on operasyona çıkılmış ve ölçümler tekne üzerinde yapılmıştır. Yakalanan kılıç balıklarının (n=50) genel, ışıklı bölge ve ışıksız bölge olarak ayrı ayrı birim çaba başına düşen av verimleri (CPUE) elde edilmiş ve karşılaştırılmıştır. Genel CPUE 131±22.72 kg/1000 iğne, ışıklı kısımda CPUE 352±61.32 kg/1000 iğne ve ışıksız kısımda CPUE 20±4.76 kg/1000 iğne olarak elde edilmiştir. Operasyonlar süresince paraketada 9 farklı tür yakalanmıştır. Birey sayısı bakımından Xiphias gladius (%81) en yüksek orana sahiptir ve bunu Muraena helena>Coryphaena hippurus≥Ruvettus pretiosus>Carcharhinus plumbeus≥ Lobotes surinamensis>Prionace glauca≥Alopias vulpinus ≥ Isurus oxyrinchus takip etmiştir

Light stick trials, being used for boosting catch efficiency, on pelagic longline for swordfish in Fethiye region (Mediterranean Sea)

Abstract

In this study, catch efficiency of light sticks on pelagic swordfish longline were studied. This study was carried out from September 20th of 2012 to December 31st of 2012 in Fethiye region and a total of 10 fishing operations were performed. All measurements were made on board. CPUE data of 50 swordfish that caught were compared in terms of total, lightened zone and dark zone. Mean CPUE was 131±22.72 kg/1000 hooks, CPUE of lightened zone was 352±61.32 kg/1000 hooks and CPUE of dark zone was 20±4.76 kg/1000 hooks. A total of 9 different species were caught during operations. The target species, Xiphias gladius had the highest ratio both in number (81.2%) followed by Muraena helena>Coryphaena hippurus≥Ruvettus pretiosus>Carcharhinus plumbeus≥ Lobotes surinamensis>Prionace glauca≥Alopias vulpinus ≥ Isurus oxyrinchus.
