Davultepe 100. Yıl Kumsalı'nda (Mersin) Deniz Kaplumbağası Yuvalama Potansiyelinin Belirlenmesi Üzerine Bir Ön Çalışma.

Öz

Çalışma alanı, Mersin ilinde kuzeydoğuda Kandak Deresi ile güneybatıda Kuğu Sitesi arasında yer almaktadır ve Mersin Çevre Koruma Vakfı (MEÇEV) tarafından işletilen Davultepe 100. Yıl Tesisleri Halk Plajı ve Piknik Alanını da içinde bulundurmaktadır. Çalışma, 2009 üreme sezonu için yaklaşık 1,8 km uzunluğundaki kumsalda, Temmuz ayı sonundan Eylül ayı ortasına kadar gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yapılan çalışmada, toplam 68 (% 94,44) Chelonia mydas ve 4 (% 5,56) Caretta caretta yuvası belirlenmiştir. Bu kumsala özgü bazı koruma tedbirleri sunulmuştur
