Dr. Ugur Ulusoy is currently a Full Professor at Sivas Cumhuriyet University (Department of Chemical Engineering), Turkey. He completed his undergraduate degree in Mining Engineering at the Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey, in 1991. He held his degrees of M.Sc. and Ph.D. in mineral processing at the Middle East Technical University and Cumhuriyet University in 1996 and 2003, respectively. He has been on the research and teaching faculty position at the Cumhuriyet University since 2008. He has received associate professorship and professorship degrees in mineral processing in 2010 and 2015, respectively. He has authored or co-authored more than 63 publications including 40 SCI papers, 17 international proceeding papers, 3 national papers and 3 national proceeding papers, with an emphasis on agglomeration, flotation, wetting, grinding, fine particle characterization, flocculation, coal washing optimization and column flotation. His publications have been cited 950 (based on Web of Science core collection) without self-citations. The h-index of his citations is 16. He has acted as a reviewer for more than 175 of international journals and proceedings. He is also member of the editorial board of several journals including RJEAS (Medwellonline), JEAS (Medwellonline), Journal of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (Canadian online publisher-MAYFEB Technology Development Corporation), International Journal of Mining Engineering and Technology (IJMET)- (Unique Pub International), Eastern European Journal of Enterprise Technologies, Journal of Applied Sciences (Redelve International Publications) and EUREKA: Physics and Engineering. He is an academic editor at PLoS ONE Editorial Board. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Isaac Scientific Publishing journal titled as Current Works in Mineral Processing. His Elsevier papers were selected 7 times as TOP25 (most downloaded) on Science Direct. He is the chapter author in the books titled “Fine Particle Technology and Characterization” and “Critical and Rare Earth Elements: from Secondary Resources”. He has just acted as Guest editorship for a Research Topic “Advanced Green and Sustainable Chemical and Physical Technologies for Resources Recycling of Solid Wastes” at Frontiers in Chemistry-Green and Sustainable Chemistry.

For many years, he has taught courses in Principles of Mineral processing, Mineral processing Laboratory I, and Chemical Mining. He, who has been involved with 5 projects as a researcher and 1 project as a coordinator, is the member of 7 scientific societies.

Much of his work focused on agglomeration, flotation, wetting, grinding, fine particle characterization, flocculation, coal washing optimization, column flotation and ultrasonic treatment with flotation.
