Abstract

Araştırmada, sürükleme av araçları grubunda yer alan algarna takımlarının av kompozisyonunun incelenmesi ve bu av takımının balıkçılık ortamında yarattığı etkilerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. İzmir Körfezi, Gülbahçe açıklarında birer saatlik 14 geçerli av operasyonu sonucu 21 türün yakalandığı tespit edilmiştir. Bu türlerden ekonomik değere sahip dil balığı (Solea vulgaris Qensel, 1806) ve karides (Penaus kerathurus Forskall, 1775) incelenmiştir. Dil balığının 9-29 cm boy gruplarında dağılım gösterdiği ve yoğun olarak 19-22 cm de yakalandığı tespit edilmiştir. Karidesler, 12-22.3 cm boy gruplarında dağılım gösterdiği ve ortalama yakalanma boyu 16.2 cm olarak tespit edilmiştir. Yapılan sualtı gözlem çalışmalarında algarna takımının çamur zeminlerde uygulandığında dip yapısına ve bentik faunaya tahrip edici zararı gözlenmemiştir. Fakat algarna takımlarının aynı bölgede avcılık yapan küçük balıkçı takımlarına zarar verebilmesi, bu av takımının olumsuz etkilerini oluşturmaktadır
