Siyanobakterilerden elde edilen fikosiyaninin kullanım alanları.

Öz

Siyanobakterilerden elde edilen fikosiyanin mavi renkli, kokusuz, toksik olmayan, suda çözünebilen, güçlü floresan özelliğe sahip doğal bir renk maddesidir. Gıda, ilaç ve kozmetik sanayilerinde renklendirici olarak kullanılmaktadır. Doğal renk maddesi özelliğinin dışında sahip olduğu floresan özellikten dolayı mikroskopi, sitometri, bağışıklık, doku kimyası çalışmalarında floresan prob olarak kullanılmakta ayrıca antioksidan ve radikal uzaklaştırıcı etkisinden dolayı nutrasötik ve farmasötik olarak kullanılma potansiyeli de bulunmaktadır. Bu bağlamda fikosiyanin üretimine ve kullanımına olan ilgi son zamanlarda giderek artmaktadır. Bu derleme siyanobakterilerden elde edilen fikosiyanin yapısı, ekstraksiyonu ve kullanım alanları hakkında bilgi vermektedir
