Abstract
In this study, macro- and micro-algae of Barutçu Lake (Selçuk, İzmir, Türkiye) has been investigated. 189 taxa, belonging to Bacillariophyta (86 taxa; 12 of them new records), Chlorophyta (58 taxa; with 13 new records), Cyanophyta (23 taxa; with one new records), Euglenophyta (12 taxa; with 5 new records), Xanthophyta (5 taxa; with 3 new records), Chrysophyta (2 taxa; with one new records), Dinophyta (2 taxa; with one new records) and Cryptophyta (one taxon) have been identified. Totally, 36 taxa were recorded for the first time to the Turkish freshwater algae.
