Abstract

Ahtapot (O. vulgaris Cuvier 1797) dünya üzerinde geniş dağılım gösteren ekonomik bir kafadanbacaklı türüdür. Yetiştiricilik koşullarına kolay adapte olması, yüksek gelişim oranı, ekonomik değeri düşük doğal besinlerle beslenmesi, yüksek fekonditesi ve yüksek ticari değeri ile aquakültür sektörü için aday bir türdür. Ahtapotun yumurtadan anaç olana kadar yetiştiriciliği ticari olarak şimdiye kadar yapılamasa da, laboratuar ortamında bu sağlanmıştır ve gelecek çalışmalar için ümit vericidir
