Effect of testosteroneundeconoate on growth and liver and kidney tissues of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, ortalama 14,43± 0,75g ağırlık ve 9,39± 0,18 cm total boy uzunluğundaki tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus)’lar, 90 gün boyunca 0 (kontrol), 15 ve 30 mg hormon / kg yem oranlarında testesteronandekonat (TU) içeren yemlerle beslenmişlerdir. Ayda bir örnekleme yapılmış ve her örnekleme döneminde balıkların canlı ağırlık (W), total boy (L) ölçümleri alınmıştır. Balıkların deneme sonu günlük canlı ağırlık kazancı (DGR), spesifik büyüme oranı (SGR) ve kondisyon faktörü (C) ortalamaları hesaplanmıştır. Karaciğer ve böbrek dokularının histolojik analizi yapılmıştır. Deneme sonunda W ortalamaları gruplara göre sırasıyla, 38,62±4,18 g, 39,90±3,42 g, 40,48±2,00 g; L ortalamaları ise yine sırasıyla 13,40±0,53 cm, 13,47±0,33 cm, 13,49±0,49 cm olarak bulunmuştur. Gruplardaki balıkların deneme sonu DGR ortalamaları sırasıyla 0,27±0,04, 0,28±0,02, 0,29±0,03 g’dır; SGR ortalamaları ise 1,09±0,01, 1,13±0,06, 1,15±0,01; C ortalamaları 1,61±0,91, 1,63±0,93, 1,67±0,08 olarak belirlenmiştir. Gruplar arasında büyüme parametreleri açısından istatistiksel olarak bir fark bulunmamıştır (P>0,05). Histolojik incelemede karaciğer ve böbrek dokusunda değişimler gözlenmiştir. Balık gelişimine etki etmemesi ve dokularda histolojik değişiklikler oluşturması nedeniyle, O. niloticus türünde testosteronandekonat uygulamasının uygun olmayacağı sonucuna varılmıştır
