Bir Nil Tilapya (Oreochromis niloticus L., 1758) populasyonunda BLUP yöntemiyle hasat ağırlığı İçin damızlık değer tahmini.

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, bir Nil tilapyası (Oreochromis niloticus) populasyonunda yaş, cinsiyet ve ağırlık ölçümleri kullanılarak; hasat ağırlığı için, damızlık değerleri, En İyi Doğrusal Sapmasız Tahminleme (BLUP) yöntemi kullanılarak tahmin edilmiştir. Herhangi bir seleksiyon uygulanmamış bu tilapya populasyonunda hasat ağırlığı için tahmin edilen ortalama damızlık değer tahmini, 0,03 bulunmuştur. Erkek tilapya balıklarının hasat ağırlığı için ortalama damızlık değer tahminleri (2,908), dişilerin ortalama damızlık değer tahminlerinden (-2,740) daha yüksek bulunmuş olup, cinsiyet ile hasat ağırlığına ait damızlık değer tahminleri arasındaki ilişki önemli bulunmuştur. Damızlık seçiminde, bir bireyin tüm özellikleri için, en güvenilir tahmin imkanını veren BLUP yöntemi kullanılmıştır
