Determining the information about the maximum size, weight and age of the fish species in an ecosystem is of significance for the population dynamics and stock evaluation studies of the fish species. A single specimen of Trachurus mediterraneus with 36.9 cm in total length was captured off Saros Bay with handline by a commercial fisherman on 12 December 2018. The mesaured length is maximum size record of species for Northern Aegean coasts of Turkey. The information presented here is hoped to contribute to fisheries biology and international scientific literature.
