Abstract

Sismik etkinlik bakımından sakin bir bölge olarak bilinen Orta Anadolu’da 10 Ocak 2016 günü, yerel saat ile 19.40’da merkez üssü Kırşehir ili Çiçekdağı ilçesi Hacıduraklı köyü olan 5.0 (Mw) büyüklüğünde bir deprem meydana gelmiştir. Depremin odak mekanizması çözümü, sağ yanal doğrultu atımlı bir faylanmayı göstermektedir. Bu depremin, odak mekanizması çözümü ile uyumlu olan ve iki yapısal segmentten oluşan ve sağ yanal doğrultu atımlı Manahözü Fayının BKB-DGD uzanımlı segmenti ile ilişkili olarak meydana geldiğini göstermektedir. Manahözü Fayı aktif bir fay olup bölgenin son dönem yapısal olarak şekillenmesinde rol oynayan önemli yapılardan biridir. Kırşehir ve yakın civarındaki önemli jeolojik yapılardan bir diğeri ise, sağ yanal doğrultu atımlı ve KB-GD uzanımlı Seyfe Fay Zonu’dur. Bu aktif yapılar arasındaki etkileşim Seyfe çek-ayır havzasının oluşmasına neden olmuştur. Ayrıca, Manahözü deresinin kuzeyindeki yükselimin Manahözü Fayı ve Yerköy Fay Zonu arasındaki birleşme nedeniyle olabileceğini düşündürmektedir. Aktif bir yapı olan Manahözü Fayının KB-GD uzanımlı segmenti de gelecekte deprem üretme potansiyeline sahip bir yapı olarak durmaktadır.
