Abstract
Bu çalışmanın birinci hedefi son birkaç yüzyılda Batı’da başlayarak içinde bulunduğumuz çağa kadar etkisi devam eden modernizmin dönüştürdüğü kadın anlayışının İslâm dünyasında nasıl yankı bulduğunu etüt etmek olacaktır. Bu amaçla özellikle XX. yüzyılda İslâm’da kadının konumuna dair yapılan bazı yorumlar tartı-şılacak, ikinci olarak da aynı dönemde konuya yaklaşımındaki üslup ve değerlendirmeleriyle farklılaşan Mûsâ Cârullah’ın düşünceleri Hatun adlı eseri dikkate alınarak özetlenecektir.

Abstract
First aim of this study is to investigate impression of woman understanding which was converted by modernism,
that has begun in the West a few century ago but its effect has continued until our era, in Islamic World.
For this purpose, some interpretations especially about position of woman in XX. Century in Islam will be
discussed, secondly, thoughts of Mûsâ Cârullah, who differs with his wording and consideration in the same
period, will be summarized in the light of his work named Hatun.
