Abstract

Şarbon ot yiyen hayvanlardan insanlara bulaşan bir zoonozdur. Bu hastalık ülkemizde özellikle kırsal alanlarda hayvancılık yapanlarda görülmektedir. En sık deri şarbonu görülmektedir. Hastalığın tedavisinde yıllardır penisilin kullanılmaktadır. Ancak son yıllarda penisiline dirençli kökenlerle meydana getirilen biyoterörizm ataklarında siprofloksasin önerilmektedir. Bu derlemede, yeniden önem kazanan şarbona ait klasik bilgilerin yanında, şarbonun biyoterörizm nedenli özellikleri de güncel literatürler eşliğinde gözden geçirilmiştir
