The Determination of Proximate Composition and Some Biologic Characteristics of Flatfish (Pegusa lascaris) captured in the Black Sea Coasts

Abstract

In this study, some biological characteristics and proximate composition of flatfish (Pegusa lascaaris), which is caught as a non-target species on the Black Sea coast, have been determined. The study was conducted between 01 October 2019 and 30 September 2020 on the coasts of Sinop province. Flatfish were obtained from fishing vessels engaged in fishing with set nets and dredge (algarna). Average length and average weight of caught flatfish was determined as 15.07±0.006 cm and 31.47±0.521 g respectively. The length-weight relationship of the flatfish was calculated as W=0.0056L3.1611, while the growth of the species was found to be positive allometric. Raw protein, raw lipid, raw ash, moisture, carbohydrate and energy values of fish were determined 16.901±0.038 %, 0.979±0.055 %, 1.287±0.027 %, 79.637±0.192 %, 1.196±0.078 % and 108.845±0.3233 kcal/100g respectively.

Karadeniz Kıyılarında Avlanan Dil Balığı (Pegusa lascaris)’nın Besin Bileşiminin ve Bazı Biyolojik Özelliklerinin Belirlenmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmada Karadeniz kıyılarında hedef dışı tür olarak avlanan dil balığı (Pegusa lascaaris)’nın besin kompozisyonu ve bazı biyolojik özellikleri belirlenmiştir. Araştırma 01 Ekim 2019 ve 30 Eylül 2020 tarihleri arasında Sinop ili kıyılarında yürütülmüştür. Dil balıkları bölgede uzatma ağları ve algarna ile avcılık yapan balıkçı gemilerinden elde edilmiştir. Yakalanan dil balıklarının ortalama boyları 15.07±0.006 cm ve ortalama ağırlıklıları 31.47±0.521 g olarak tespit edilmiştir. Dil balığının boy ağırlık ilişkisi W=0.0056L3.1611 olarak hesaplanırken, türün büyümesinin pozitif (+) allometrik olduğu saptanmıştır. Balığın % ham protein, ham yağ, ham kül, nem, karbonhidrat ve enerji (kcal/100g) değerleri sırasıyla 16.901±0.038, 0.979±0.055, 1.287±0.027, 79.637±0.192, 1.196±4.628 ve 108.845±0.3233 olarak belirlenmiştir.
