Treatment of a Patient With Rotated Upper Central Incisor and Unerupted Tooth: Case Report

Abstract

In this case report, the orthodontic treatment of a patient with extremely rotated maxillary central incisor and unerupted canine was presented.An eleven years old male patient with complaint of poor anterior aesthetics was evaluated at department of Orthodontics. Orthodontic evaluation revealed that skeletal and dental class I relationships, mil crowding, extremely rotated upper permanent central incisor and unerupted canine. Treatment options were explained patients and parents. For better aesthetics, it was decided to correct the aesthetic problems with orthodontic treatment Fixed orthodontic mechanics were applied and mini screws were used to provide anchorage. Extremely rotated incisor was moved to proper position with the help of two power arms. Orthodontic force was generated with power chain and closed coil spring. Fixed orthodontic treatment was completed.Functionally sound occlusion was achieved. Satisfying esthetic appearance was obtained

Abstract

Bu olgu sunumunda aşırı derecede rotasyona uğramış üst kesici dişi ve gömülü köpek dişi olan hastanın ortodontik tedavisi sunulmuştur.On bir yaşında erkek hasta kötü ön estetik şikâyeti sebebiyle ortodonti anabilim dalı kliniğinde değerlendirildi. Yapılan ortodontik değerlendirmede iskeletsel ve dişsel sınıf I ilişkisi, hafif çapraşıklığı, aşırı rotasyona uğramış üst daimi santral dişi ve gömülü köpek dişi olduğu görüldü. Tedavi seçeneklere hastaya ve ebeveynlere anlatıldı. Daha iyi bir estetik için, ortodontik tedavi ile problemlerin düzeltilmesine karar verildi. Sabit ortodontik mekanikler uygulandı ve mini vidalar ile gerekli destek sağlandı. Aşırı derecede rotasyona uğramış kesici diş iki kuvvet kolu yardımıyla uygun pozisyona getirildi. Ortodontik kuvvet power chain ve kapalı coil springler ile elde edildi. Sabit ortodontik tedavi tamamlandı.Fonksiyonel anlamda sağlıklı bir kapanışa ulaşıldı. Memnun edici bir estetik görünüş elde edildi
